ABOUT
Natalie Jayne Clark is a neurodivergent author, poet and producer based in Perth, Scotland. The view as she writes is the ever-changing vista of trees and clouds lining the top of Kinnoull Hill.

Her debut novel, a darkly funny sapphic crime tale called 'The Malt Whisky Murders' (Polygon, Birlinn, 2025) is shortlisted for the Bloody Scotland Debut Prize.

Natalie's 100-word pitch and subsequent 2.5-minute presentation at Bloody Scotland in 2023 landed her a pre-emptive book deal and agent within the week. She is represented by Jenny Brown.

Natalie is a writer for Scottish arts and culture magazine SNACK Magazine. She writes book, music and live event previews/reviews, and gets to interview lots of really interesting people about their artistic practice along the way. She's a regular guest on SNACK's podcast Everybody Wants To Play The Hits too, which platforms new Scottish music releases.
Her poetry can be found in anthologies from publications including Flapjack Press, Speculative Books, and Open Book. Natalie has been invited to perform her poetry and appear as an author at a range of festivals, including Edinburgh International Book Festival, Paisley Book Festival, and Hidden Door Festival.

‘Natalie’s writing is a heady mix of brilliantly inventive, highly original and very funny.’
